Since 1890, Squantum Yacht Club has been a pillar for sailing education, competition, and community among Quincy’s twenty-seven miles of coastline. This year, we are offering an adult learn to sail program on J/22s and J/24s. This is a learn-to-sail course offered to adult sailors (18+) that are beginning their sailing careers. Sailors will learn parts of the boat, rigging/derigging independently, leaving and returning to a mooring, proper tacking, and the ability to sail a proper course. This program is geared to teach sailing safely and skillfully; to develop confidence for sailing keelboats, and to instill a respect for the sea.
