2024 Squantum Yacht Club Sailing Program

Jump In

SYC's annual summer sailing program kicks off the first week of July and runs for 6 weeks, Monday through Thursday.

We offer a wide variety of experiences for youth on beautiful Quincy Bay. including sailing, swimming, hosting water games and sailing to local Boston islands for cookouts and scavenger hunts.

Classes range from beginning sailing all the way through advanced racing teaching essential skills such as knot tying, water safety, critical thinking, seamanship, and club racing.

Sailing at SYC is designed to help all types of sailors follow their passion and fall in love with the sport.

If you are unsure which class your sailor should be in, please contact the Junior Sailing Director.

The success of the SYC Sailing Program is made possible through donations from generous benefactors who have provided us with the resources necessary to continue growing the youth sailing program. Please consider making a donation of any amount by clicking the link below.

Medical Information:

To speed up registration you can gather some information that you will need to complete the registration process more quickly when you do get the materials. Every parent/guardian is familiar with the "health forms" you get from your child's pediatrician. This form is given to schools each year and to most organized sports programs. One of the health department requirements for "camps" is that we have on record the information generally found on these health forms - included is the date of last doctor’s visit, immunization status and brief medical history/activity restrictions. This is NOT the full medical record of your child. This form/information is REQUIRED of every participant in the program this year - so contact your pediatrician now and get the form for each of your kids that is participating this year.
