The Friends of Wollaston Beach is an organization promoting public use of Wollaston Beach, preserving and
protecting the fragile ecosystems, and addressing the quality of life issues relating to the Beach. The goal of
the Association is to promote the wise use and preservation of the Beach, encouraging volunteerism, alerting
others to issues affecting the Beach through educational, cultural, social and civic programs, and advocating
on behalf of Beach users.

The Commonwealth of Massachusetts is now requiring all boat owners and those operating boats on the waters of MA to have a Boater Safety Certificate. Please note that all sailboats with auxiliary power whether under power or sail are classified as motorboats under this law. If you have a recent Boating Safety Certification, it is still valid.

Quincy is no longer including the mooring permit applications with the Excise Tax Bills.

Those who have moorings must go to the Quincy Harbormaster Mooring Permit web site download the permit application and fill it out and mail or email back per the instructions.

The permit will be mailed once payment of the Excise Tax has been made.

The USCG in the Boston District is requiring all paddle craft to have "If Found" labels.

Proper identification of kayak, canoe and paddle boats is critical to your safety and assisting in SAR (Search and Rescue). Please affix the labels available in the Tap to your kayaks/paddle boards.

A no Wake Zon has been established in Boston Harbor.
Additionally, NOAA is discontinuing all paper and raster charts.
