Membership Information

Thank you for your interest in the Squantum Yacht Club!

We're an active, informal, and family-oriented club that welcomes new members with open arms. Our members come from all walks of life, owning sailboats, powerboats, day-boats, cruisers, and racers.

You don't need a boat to join—social members enjoy participating in our events.

Our membership fees are reasonable, offering services like mooring privileges and launch service. We host regular Friday Night Dinners and a full social calendar for members and guests.

To keep fees low, regular members contribute a small amount of work to the club. Social Memberships have no initiation fee or work requirements and enjoy all club amenities except boats and floats, with opportunities to help plan events.

Full memberships are for those with boats needing launch service. Junior Membership is available for children of members aged 12 to 18, with special activities, sailing, racing, and a summer sailing program for kids 8 and up.

Membership Fees

Social Members - $298

1. Stunning Views from The Deck - Relax and enjoy the picturesque scenery.

2. Versatile Deck Activities - Fire up the grills on Sundays or any day with family and friends. The Deck is perfect for hosting book clubs, chess games, children's activities, or any event you're planning. Enjoy a family night out with grilling, bring your own food, or simply set up a chair on the docks and immerse yourself in a good book. Need a change of scenery for work? Bring your office to SYC!

3. Access to The Tap & Social Events - Join in on our vibrant community events and sports activities.

Regular Members - $693

In addition to the beautiful views from club, access to the TAP, usage of the deck and social events, the Regular Members have the following additional privileges:

1. Boating Services:
Launch Service provided on club's primary launch, Jim Bonney or skiff, by USCG Licensed Launch Operators
Barge available for member servicing of moorings and other tasks
2-Ton Electric Chain Winch available for mooring hoisting and mast step/unstep and other tasks
Ramp Access available from Quincy Shore Drive on either side of the club for launch and retrieval of small craft
24 hour access to club, floats, skiff and barge

2. Locker Rental subject to availability

3. Full Membership Rights:
Voting able to participate in club meetings and club decisions.
Management serve on Bridge, E-Board or Committees

4. Special Discounts: Function Hall Rental, US Sailing, US Boating, SeaTow, etc.

5. Reciprocation at over 1,500 Yacht Clubs

6. One-time Initiation Fee - $600 going into the 5-year fund to provide funds for major capital projects.

Junior Members

1. Must be children of regular members or sponsored by regular members

2. Ages 12-18

3. No fee for children of members

4. $15 Annual fee if sponsored by member
