CALLING ALL OPTIMIST AND CLUB 420 SAILORS TO QUINCY BAY
Prepare for an unforgettable weekend of exhilarating competition and camaraderie at the historic Lipton Cup Regatta in beautiful Quincy Bay! Join us as Opti and Club 420 sailors battle it out on Alpha and Bravo lines, vying for glory in this prestigious South Shore Junior Championship Series event. Beyond the thrill of the race, enjoy a complete regatta experience with delicious breakfast buffets, hearty lunches, and festive dinners for sailors, families, and guests alike. With safety as our top priority, we've implemented comprehensive measures, including on-water patrols, emergency services support, and diligent weather monitoring, ensuring a secure and enjoyable event for everyone. From Friday night's registration to Sunday's awards ceremony, immerse yourself in the vibrant sailing community, create lasting memories, and be a part of the Lipton Cup legacy!
All participants each day will be provided with:
- Breakfast Buffet Saturday and Sunday Morning
- Lunches with choice of sandwiches, fruits, and snacks
- Dinner for all participants, families and guests each day after racing

Boat Storage
Moorings - Limited moorings are available - Call on Channel 68 for instructions upon arrival.
Rafting of boats may become necessary, please plan accordingly.
Beach Storage/Launch - The beach between Squantum Yacht Club and Wollaston Yacht Club is available for storage of boats an trailers.
Access to the beach will be available 24/7. The State Police and Squantum members will provide 24/7 watch of the beach.
Safety
The safety of all participants, and other involved or observing is of paramount importance.
Safety precautions have been reviewed and changes made:
- A safety plan has been implemented per FEMA/EMI according to ICS-100.
- The Quincy Harbormaster has reviewed the plan.
- Quincy Harbormaster will have boats patrolling the area.
- Massachusetts State Police, Quincy PD and Quincy Fire Department resources will be available.
- The on shore and on water PRO's are closely monitoring the weather and will cancel racing on any chance of deteriorating weather.
- All coaches will be briefed on safety procedures and their responsibilities.
