Please note: The Squantum Yacht Club is a 501(c)(7) organization. Under IRS regulations, gifts and contributions to the club are not tax-deductible as charitable donations.

Ways to Give

We are deeply grateful for all contributions, and we offer a variety of ways for you to support the club and its mission.

Outright Gifts - A direct financial contribution is the simplest and most common way to support SYC. You can contribute via check, credit card, or bank transfer. Please see the links to the right for contributions through the system.
Appreciated Securities - You can make a gift of appreciated stocks, bonds, or mutual funds.
In-Kind Contributions - In-kind gifts of goods or services are invaluable to the club. These can include anything from professional services (e.g., tax preparation, legal, accounting, marketing) to equipment or materials that help us with club projects and maintenance.

Designate Your Gift

You have the option to direct your gift to a specific area of need that you care about most.

The Sailing Program: Your gift can directly support our sailing programs, providing essential equipment, training, and opportunities for youth and adult sailors.
Club Operations: Contribute to the general operating fund to help with day-to-day expenses, maintenance, and keeping our facilities in excellent condition.
Specific Improvements: You may contribute to a specific capital improvement project, such as a new dock, facility upgrade, or special equipment purchase. Please contact us to discuss your interest in a specific project.

Give the Gift of Time

While members are required to fulfill work hours, the Squantum Yacht Club wouldn't be what it is today without the generous time and expertise of our entire community. General Fund

The General Fund is the engine that keeps our club running, safeguarding our legacy and preparing for the future. While our docks may be quiet during the off-season, the essential work never stops. Your gift is especially critical between October and March, a period with no income, as it allows us to cover vital year-round expenses like insurance, utilities, taxes, and repairs. Your contribution ensures that when May arrives, our club is vibrant, welcoming, and ready for another successful season on the water.

Lipton Cup

Your gift to the Regatta Fund does double duty. First, it ensures that we can host the prestigious Lipton Cup Regatta at the level of excellence our competitors expect. Second, and just as important, any funds raised above the event's costs will be dedicated to a tangible, historical project: the proper refurbishment and display of the famous trophy originally donated by Sir Thomas Lipton himself. This iconic piece of our club's history deserves to be showcased in a manner befitting its legacy.

Sailing Program

With your generous support, our sailing program has made incredible progress in recent years. We've added new Optis, Club 420s, and have expanded our docks. We now need your help to continue that success.
